Bound By Rowan and Sin

A Dark Romantasy by R.L. Oliver

“I am not prey,” she whispered.
“Good.” His voice dropped darker. “I do not hunt prey.”

His fingers flexed at her hip.

“You are a challenge. You are not something that I can take. You fight back.” A pause. “And I want to see how far that fight goes.”

‍ ‍Beyond the Veil

She was raised human.
The Otherworld knows better.

Elara spent her life believing she belonged to the mortal world—until the veil was torn away and everything she knew became a lie.

Beyond it waits Aetheryn: ancient magic, ruthless courts, dangerous bargains... and a destiny written into her skin long before she knew what it meant.

But the greatest danger may not be the world that claimed her.

It may be the man she was never supposed to want.

Meet R.L. Oliver

I write dark romantasy for readers who like their magic dangerous, their heroines stubborn, and their love interests morally questionable at best.

I've always loved fantasy, mythology, folklore, and the idea that something impossible might be waiting just beyond the veil. Give me complicated characters, sharp banter, forbidden attraction, morally gray decisions, and a romance that probably isn't good for anyone involved, and I'm happy.

When I'm not making fictional people suffer for my own entertainment, I'm usually reading, crocheting, gaming, falling down a research rabbit hole, or scribbling scenes and character notes somewhere I'll inevitably forget about later.

Bound by Rowan and Sin is my debut novel—and the first step into a world I've spent far too much time living in inside my head.
